Going back to personal philosophy of nursing, I can attest that I was greatly motivated and moved to explore the field of nursing because of the personal experiences of my life, values, and the wish to leave a spiritual imprint on the lives of patients and the communities around me. My philosophy is based on my personal interests in nursing, based on science and compassion, and the task of any nurse is to make sure that he or she can maintain health, provide patients with care, and define the future of healthcare. Why I Chose Nursing The desire to work as a nurse was a dependent variable and a motivation for the choice. Personal Strengths and Leadership in Nursing My strengths, such as empathy, strength, and good communication, will be used as a nurse leader. The communication results in the evolution of teamwork and patient safety since it assists in decreasing the gap between patients and providers. Conclusion My philosophy of nursing has been founded on the premise that nursing is both a science and an art; this means that nursing entails compassion, evidence-based practice and a commitment to service provision. The notion of being a nurse can be credited with my values of empathy, resilience, and advocacy.
