By reading the case studies, the students come to understand the literature review process to reflect on their work as well as resolve conflicts that may arise in their professional lives.
Description of Encountered Conflict in Nursing Practice
Identification of Stakeholders and their Roles
Conflict at work arose within a nursing practice, which involved the disagreement between the nurses and the managers of the institution, over the issue of proper staffing adequacy during peak times in the emergency wards. With conflict within the nursing environment, the mode of conflict resolution that I like the most is mediation. Mediation is the process of arbitration and creating a constructive dialogue between the restrained parties, and acts as a third party involved in the process. This mode is a way of discussing the issues and exploring more deeply the concerns or interests involved. It is good at creating an appropriate atmosphere of common agreement between the parties. Stakeholders are allowed to be more participatory in the decision-making process, leading to increased transparency and awareness of the challenges, as well as the preservation of relationships, which is vital in the current healthcare practice.

In conclusion, it is difficult but also necessary to deal with conflicts in healthcare today.
